VitalSource Return Policy

Summary: Most VitalSource eTextbooks can be refunded within 14 days of purchase if usage limits have not been exceeded and access codes have not been used. Some publishers have shorter windows or additional limits.

Standard Return Policy

  • You request the refund within 14 days of the purchase date.
  • You have not viewed or printed more than 20% of the eTextbook in total.
  • You have not viewed or used any included access codes.
  • You have not previously returned the same eTextbook from a prior purchase.
  • The item was purchased directly from the VitalSource Store.
  • You have not returned 3 or more eTextbooks in the past 90 days across your VitalSource accounts.
  • The eTextbook is not from a publisher listed under Return Policy Exceptions below.

Note: Purchases made through other retailers follow that retailer’s return and refund policy.

Abuse of Return Policy

VitalSource may refuse to sell or provide refunds to any person for reasons not prohibited by law, including—but not limited to—abuse of this return policy.
